Again: Externals, svncopy.pl script and current version of SVN

Sorry, but this question is really important to me... so I need to ask
it until somebody gives me an answer.

Well, nobody replied to my question so I need to ask it again because
there is no email in the header of the svncopy.pl file, and I don't
have any contact at collab.net

I have read in an email from last week that apparently the latest
version of SVN does not handle externals the same way as before when
using the copy command. Since no detail was given, I would like to
know if this means the svncopy.pl script is becoming useless.
