Thank you for the URL! I am more used to bugzilla, but there is no an
exact document (apart the source) on how this should work. Here is the
related doc: 6.9.1. Autolinkification
http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/tip/html/hintsandtips.html#AEN2320

svim (sUBvERSION iNSTANT mESSENGER) summary:

* cross-platform gaim plugin or integrated into libgaim
* step1: syntax highlighting and autolinkification
will have to prevent gaim original URLification/smileys
* step2: a new widget (tooltip, quip, etc.) for displaying in-line
results of some auto detected svn commands
* step3: svimbot that monitors the repository and sends notification on
events

TODO:
1. What protocol to choose? Available servers for it? Protocol
independent might be too difficult as a start.

2. Security: integrate with mod_authz_svn controls

3. prefs: stored in the repos? talk to the svimbot to change config
(e.g. notify)!

4. ACK/NACK on notify

5. SLEEP! (yup it is 5 a.m. here :-(

Kalin.
