Slow execution of P42SVN

Hi,
I am trying to migrate the codes from Perforce to
Subversion. I am using the P42SVN.pl script (With
slight modifications of my own, which I am sure, will
not hamper the performance). Currently I am NOT
redirecting the output of the Perforce to Subversion.
Rather I am dumping it into a flat file.

I have set a Perforce Proxy server locally and I have
quite a good band width as well. But ironically the
Perforce dump is too slow. Using the Perforce client I
take approximately 5 hrs to sync the codes (1.6 GB
head revision). But via P42SVN.pl I take approximately
6-7 days!!!. Also most of my codes (90%) are in
revision 1 itself. Hence I do not expect too much
delay due to getting files in history (previous
revisions).

Can anyone please tell me why the P42SVN is so
sloooow? What I can I do to hasten up the activity.
Please help.

Regards
Keerti Nayak
