no, what he means is that, if you're looking at the directory
structure, you can "see" the branches and tags, which you can of
course hide by just making them hidden directories if you want
(.branches, .tags, etc...)

come on, folks, this design decision isn't going to change because
some of you get all creeped out by directories. accept it and move
on.
