resource deos not correspond

I just enabled auth checking with httpd (htpasswd) and now after I edit
and commit a file I can not re-edit and commit with out getting the
following Error.

"The version resource does not correspond to the resource within the
resource" and the commit fails telling me to svn update. Which I do but
that does not

Fix the problem. If I delete the .svn/wcprop/* files I can commit
again???

I'm on SUSE Linux 9.2, svn 1.0.8.

Any ideas?
