RE: Microsoft Team Foundation vs Subversion

If it's anything like other MS releases, it'll promise the moon and give
it to you, albeit 10 years later. and it'll be a mockup of the moon, not
the actual moon. Remember all the marketing-speak about Visual Studio 2k5?
I got into the beta to find that VSS had changed in one way - they updated
the icons.

weren't we supposed to have winFS like, in NT4? now it's not even in
Windows Vista? Just have the Subversion team co-opt any good ideas MS came
up with and then we're in good shape.

I was just looking at this today.

It is a bit surprising how much the source control part feels inspired by
Subversion. They use the term working copies, have revision numbers
(which they call changesets) etc..

Overall, the UI looks nice. I wonder what it is like with a project that
has more than a few dozen files in it and you are working on a WAN.
