You CAN browse the trunk! I assume you are using TortoiseSVN. In the
Repo Browser, there is a button in the top right corner which is
usually labled "HEAD". Click on it and enter the revision where the
trunk was still there. If you don't know the revision where you
deleted the trunk, right click on the repository root in the repo
browser and select "Show log", there you see the revision nubers.
