Proxy (mirror repository) available for offshore resources?

Hi everybody,

I am currently looking for a SCM tool which can provide a mirrored repository on a remote site, in my case at our offshore development company. Does Subversion have such a feature.? I found it in a product called Perforce. For evaluation purposes I look now for another tool which also has such a feature.

Detailed explanation:

The offshore partner has a slow connection to servers in our company where the main repository is located. So we want to provide them with a repository which resides on a server in their LAN. This repository must be an exact mirror of the main repository and every time if a developer at the offshore site updates a file then this must be updated immediately on the main repository (if internet connection is available) or in case of the internet connection not being available the mirror repository must be synched automatically as soon as the connection to the main repository is available again.

If anybody can tell me if Subversion or other SCM tools except Perforce provide this then I would appreciate very much any hint to be posted on the mailing list.
