Just insert a 'pause' line in your .bat file after the call to the script.
It will keep the command-window open until the user press a key.
You can use the echo command if you want to output some things from your own,
but the script is probably talkative enough :)

Ok got it. One last question. I am using a .bat file to call the perl script. It is working and the commit is failing, but how can I ouput something telling the user why the commit failed?
