You can put your server on a publically accessible server. But you'd have
to be extra carefull about securing it, authentication and such. You could
use apache with HTTPS or svn+ssh.

It all depends on what sort of code do you have in your repository, i.e.
how sensitive it is. Or you can use some sort of other VPN.
