Subversion 1.2 another possible build problem (static linking on Solaris, libsendfile.a)

Hi All,

I'm trying to build a statically linked Solaris 'svn' binary.

This fails at link time, when the static version of 'libsendfile' cannot be
found (the dynamic version is in place, however). I'm a very small Sun/Solaris
expert, but I could not find this libsendfile.a anywhere, and it seems that Sun
does not provide a static version of this library anymore.

So I'm stuck.

The funny thing, is that Subversion 1.1.2 handeled this OK, i.e. statically
linked the subversion libs in, but dynamically linked other libs, including
libsendfile. So everything was OK.

My question :

- How can I solve this ?

- Is this indeed a bug with the Subversion build process under Solaris (I'm
using SunOS 5.8) ? Or maybe this dependancy is due to the neon library and is
not directly subvesrion-related ?

- If so, should I submit a bug ?

Thanks in advance,

Gal.
