I had lots of fun figuring all this out.
The first thing I did was to get neon built all by itself, because the
makefile just didn't seem to work right for me on Solaris. Maybe that's
been fixed by now.
The second thing I did was to build apache and the apr stuff separately
(enabled shared!)
The third thing I did was to ensure that the binutils in /usr/ccs/bin were
NOT in my path, and that I was using the GNU binutils instead (ld, make,
ar, etc etc.)

So, I'm assuming that it's looking for these libraries (sendfile, rt,
resolv, pthread, dl, z) and can't find them?
Thing is, I can't find them either. Any idea what needs to be set up in
my environment for it to find these?
