Not sure what workarounds you know about but where I work we have a script
that can be run before opening the solution that renames the .svn folders to
_svn. Problem is we also use Ankh which blows up when you do this so lately
I've just skipped that step. The web project throws an error saying that it
can't refresh but that hasn't really been a big issue yet, the project still
opens.
