Could it be that it's a file that's automatically generated by a build
or something and it wasn't initially imported. But then someone on the
team accidently added it? Then those who had done a build would get
that error when they tried to do an update.

As for GUIs, TortoiseSVN is by for the best GUI I've used. It's got
everything the Command Line can do, but it's nicely integrated with
Explorer.

What do you think it's missing? What are you trying to do with it that
it doesn't seem to be able to do?
