It all comes down to, if there is a volunteer who does it then it gets
done. Those people mostly work in their spare time on it, and usually
if you need something you gotta do it yourself or find someone who has
the same needs who can do it.
This is a little bit different to the usual Windows shareware route,
where you have to pay for anything and everything, but sort of can rely
on that you can get some features from the next version within a years
timeframe (if the project is small enough, dont even bother to try that
with Microsoft or IBM)
