idea: svn:externals wildcard user?

As soon as I started using svn:externals, I realized that the properties
I set were only going to be valid for myself when using svn+ssh.

Has anyone considered the utility of a wildcard username feature for
svn:externals?

Something like:

folder svn+ssh://*@host/path/to/repos

Pondering it briefly, I see that there could be issues in defining
exactly which usernames you should use for specific hosts, but I'll let
someone more clever than myself decide if that's something that can be
resolved. (Perhaps command-line options that are stored in a WC's .svn
folder.)

/me creeps behind a flame-retardent wall.
