Looking for solution for Server side search in files

Hello dear all,
I am looking for solution to provide subversion users with possibility search
into the text files without checkout the local copy.
I know that it is not available for subversion core and I understand why!
I am interesting whether some known and/or recommended solutions are available?
I think, I can simple implement it with a hook that updates some kind
of the backend
(database) on every commit and provide some kind of frontend for the
users to search there.
But still I would prefer the known solution.
