Re: Non-ASCII character detected (see above), and unable to convert to/from UTF-8

Hi,

I'm sorry but it seems I was wrong after all.

Setting APR_ICONV_PATH correctly did solve the problem.

I added this to my AUTOEXEC.BAT:

set apr_iconv_path = c:\Program files\TortoiseSVN\iconv

And checking out files with non-ASCII filenames is working fine.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Fadi Mansour

Hi,

I have a subversion server running under Win2000 with a Win98 client using TortoiseSVN. I'm having trouble with filenames that use non ASCII characters (Arabic characters).

When trying to update the working copy I get this message:

Non-ASCII character detected (see above), and unable to convert to/from UTF-8
I couldn't find anything that helped in the documentation and by searching in the web.

Setting APR_ICONV_PATH doesn't help.

Does anyone know if there's a solution for this?

Regards,

Fadi Mansour
