Anybody know if Issue #2151 ('svn ls' is slow over ra_dav, and way slower w/ ra_dav+FSFS) going to make it to 1.2 ?

Hi All,

2 questions.

(1) Does anybody know if the ra_dav + FSFS slowness (issue #2151) is
going to be resolved for 1.2 ?

My current setup (apache 2.0.52, subversion 1.1.2) is not working.
Checkout of directories with huge

number of files (13,000+ files) is horribly slow (as shown by enabling
neon debug as explained in the FAQ), takes forever (over an hour ?),
then fails with this msg :

svn: REPORT request failed on '/repos/cx4000/!svn/vcc/default'

svn: REPORT of '/repos/cx4000/!svn/vcc/default': Compressed response was
truncated (http://svn-il.chipx.co.il <http://svn-il.chipx.co.il/> )

This renders the http server option unusable, so I've switched to
svnserve for now.

(2) warning - abit off-topic.

Does anybody have an idea why viewcvs fails to list such directories ? I
thought that viewcvs access the repository directly (e.g. file://) which
I've verifeid, and it works find for me when I do a 'svn ls file://' on
the offending directory. So what gives ?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated !

Thanks - Gal.
