Dumping a win32 repositories from a linux box

Hi
I need to dump (or to try to dump....) a win32 repository from a linux box.
Which step I have to perform?

I need to install apache also on the linux box? Or I need only the
subversion server (same version of the win32 offcourse)?

Which distribution of linux is faster/easier to set up with subversion?

how can I access win32 repos from linux? Whith file:// protocol?
