Problem with checkout + commit using svn+ssh

Hello,

I have set up a repository that we access with svn+ssh. This works fine
using Tortoise SVN and the build in client, TortoisePlink, and OpenSsh
(ssh.exe).

However when I use svn perform a checkout it asks for the password in an
endless loop. The only way out is to kill the shell.
To be specific, if I do a checkout it will ask the first time for the
password and not show it, the consecutive time it will echo the password on
the screen. After I killed the shell I see and empty directory but the .svn
dir is made, after running svn cleanup I can run a "svn update" and all
files are checkout with out a problem. Committing files give similar
problems.

In the end we get around it by using Tortoise but I would like to be able to
use the command line on SVN as well.

Details:
Svn 1.1.2
OpenSsh 3.9
Tortoise 1.1.2

Regards,

Peter Bruin
