Win98 - Berkeley DB error while opening environment for filesystem

Hi,

I'm new on subversion.
I've actually installed the version svn-win32-1.1.1 and am trying to
get a quick start according to the documentation (svn-book.html, FAQ).

I'm using Win98 (and will not change that bacause of trying subversion...)
and am unable to step over the first few bits of the quick start.

As it looks, this error is an old one:

From: cmpilato@collab.net
Subject: Berkeley DB Win32 problems.
Date: 22 Aug 2001 13:37:14 -0500

"...problems we have with BDB under Win98 (see Issue #384)..."

Is there any version of subversion runable under Win98?
At the moment I'm not yet feeling encouraged to go to the source code
of this project when I have not even a running example...
