I've searched the archives for this, but I didn't see anything
appropriate.
I am running subversion 1.0.9 on an OS X (10.3.5) box, and have had some
problems with database corruption. I'd like to upgrade to 1.1.1 to use
FSFS but I've got some questions I'd like answered.
1) I installed subversion using fink, but fink hasn't been upgraded to
subversion 1.1.1. I've built the 1.1.1 version, but I don't know if
there will be problems with installing it causing some sort of shared
resource conflict/overwrite/whatever with the fink installed version.
Has anyone tried having two different versions installed at the same
time? Aside from changing $PATH (and the required dump/load of the
repository), are there any other problems?
2) How is FSFS under OS X? I tend to commit everytime I finish a class,
which means I make a lot of commits; does this jam up the file system?
What about branches? I've got a lot of code where I'm not sure what the
best way to do something is until I try it and profile it. This means
I've got branches all over the place. Does that jam up the filesystem?
3) Any other gotchas of FSFS under OS X?
Thanks,
Cem Karan
