Yes, I do this too, and its a real mess having to create wrappers for
package-distributed executables. Also, you might want to put the umask
002 in that script for when the repos is accessed by several users.

I've tried to suggest to have a configuration file somewhere to put in
the umask and -r option for svnserve, but I didn't get much support for
the idea.

Maybe we should encourage packagers to create a wrapper script, so that
/usr/bin/svnserve is a softlink to /etc/subversion/svnserve.wrapper

What do you guys think?
