Re: dump of FSFS repository is bugy

Hi Greg,

thanks, here is some infos about the revs:

less /svnrepos/db/revs/0

/db/revs/0
PLAIN
END
ENDREP
id: 0.0.r0/17
type: dir
count: 0
text: 0 0 4 4 2d2977d1c96f487abe4a1e202dd03b4e
cpath: /

17 107

the /svnrepos/db/revs/1 is too big and has a lot of binaries in it, so that
I can't send it to you unfortunately.

but as I remember I had imported after revision one a second projekt
(uPortal) into the repository (I'm using a single repository with multiple
projects) and renamed some PDF and UML files with TortoiseSVN repo browser
on windows.

I'm testing the repos with multiple access methods https and svn+ssh.

here is a little bit more info about the /db/revs directory

ll /svnrepos/db/revs/

total 49264
drwxrws--- 2 nobody svn 80 Oct 21 13:43 .
drwxrws--- 5 nobody svn 4096 Oct 21 17:53 ..
-rw-rw---- 1 nobody svn 115 Oct 20 14:27 0
-rw-rw---- 1 nobody svn 9728415 Oct 20 14:30 1
-rw-rw---- 1 nobody svn 39792598 Oct 20 14:39 2
-rw-rw---- 1 stn svn 1355 Oct 20 16:25 3
-rw-rw---- 1 tester svn 1394 Oct 21 10:57 4
-rw-rw---- 1 tester svn 859708 Oct 21 11:57 5
-rw-rw---- 1 tester svn 1809 Oct 21 11:58 6
-rw-rw---- 1 tester svn 980 Oct 21 11:59 7
-rw-rw---- 1 wwwrun svn 2221 Oct 21 13:09 8
-rw-rw---- 1 wwwrun svn 2331 Oct 21 13:43 9

now I'm thinking about to go back to bdb or take fsfs and use one
repositiory for each project.
I'm investigating the migration of more than 100 projects from CVS to SVN
which are 4 GB heavy.

Do you have any experience in this issue?

Thank you for your help and possible advice.

Best regards from Berlin.

If you'd be willing to send me a copy of the db/revs/0 and db/revs/1
files from your repository, I'll take a look at them and see if I can
guess what went wrong.

Alternatively, since your repository is pretty young, if you have any
idea how you got into this state, that would be helpful.

At the moment, "svnadmin recover" does nothing on an FSFS repository,
since an FSFS repository isn't supposed to need recovery.
