Best practice for RPM <-> Subversion integration

I'd like to integrate RPM with all the specfiles and patches with
subversion. Currently i'm using the scheme from the subversoin book for
maintainance of patches to vendor source code. The problem i have is:

1) i want to generate patches from the pristine source code to our
current implemenation
2) i want to use the patches from source RPMS (fedore source RPMS) and
want to use SVN as the repository.

the first point is easy to do. but how should i organize the subversion
tree so that i can check in the pristine source, all the patches from
source RPMS, and my own patches, and the re-generate all the patches
mentioned in the SPEC file, so that i can rebuild the RPM package only
from subversion?

has anybody solved this problem? or is it no problem at all and i'm just
to narrowminded to see the possibilities of subversion?
