Newbie: problem with disk space

Hello,
i installed Subversion under RH 9.0.
i used the switch --with-berkley-db=<path to my Berkley installation>
by using the configure script.
When i do a lot of commit i see the subversion uis usin g a lot of space.
I read the FAQ and Manuals and detected that the DB_LOG_AUTOREMOVE flag is
not set
when i create an new repository. In the DB_Config file this lines is an
comment.
I tried to uncomment this line
and start the svnadmin recover command an become this message:

$ svnadmin recover testrep/
Projektarchiv für Rettung gesperrt
Bitte warten, die Rettung des Projektarchivs kann einige Zeit dauern...
svn: Das Argument ist ungültig
svn: bdb: incorrect arguments for name-value pair: set_flags

Under an Win200 installation is the DB_LOG_AUTOREMOVE set
and the svnadmin recover command works fine.

Is there any expierience, are there more swiches for the subversion
installation ...
Any help is welcome.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best Regards

Udo Kirin
