I'm new to this thread. Sorry if I'm saying things that are said before. I just wanted to say that it doesn't matter if CMM is better or LMU. The problem is that some organizations do not allow their development teams use SCM systems that don't support locking. One instance is our organization. Even some of my teammates put a finger on the lack of support for locking in Subversion and insist that this damned VSS is better suited to our development needs. Please! We really need LMU in Subversion!
BTW - does anybody know if CVS supports LMU or not?
