update using branch

hi all,
    what is the cmd for updating using a branch?
    i did following:

svn co svn://<repository url>/branches/<Tag> tmp
cd tmp
svn update -r<Tag>
svn: Syntax error in revision argument '<Tag>'

    i did refer svn book but no help.
