svnserve/Apache and Repository on different machines

Hi,
Is it possible to host Subversion Repository on one
machine and have either svnServe or Apache running on
another machine to access the repository? As
mentioned in the SVN book, the BerkleyDB gets
corrupted on a shared drive, this is not a solution.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
--Dhaval.
