.htaccess in .svn

From: Jon Riddle <list_at_jdrnetworking.com>

I keep track of several web-based projects and have just started using
svn. Since my working copy is web-accessible (to be able to test as I
code), I can add .svn/text-base/mypage.php.svn-base and get a very nice
copy of my code (not a good thing). My question is: will svn safely
ignore a .htaccess file that stops Apache from serving files in my .svn
trees?
