This question is answered prominently on the subversion homepage(and
frequently on this mailinglist, too). Read it and you will soon find not only
if but also why and when.

How about you publish the files via a web frontend(viewsvn or what it's
called)? Alternatively, you can create a post-commit hook that checks out (or
exports) the whole or part of the repository to a certain location. See the
book about how to setup hooks.
