I see no rason why it shouldn't - the new subtree looks really new to
subversion, and adding new direcorty trees works quite well :-)

After my first sip of coffee this morning I realized, that there must be a
related entry in the issue tracker. It is
http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1383
and talks about "mv", not "cp", but both problems should be related close
enough to get done by the same patch. #1383 is an unscheduled feature
request, so I do not think there is any hope getting it done in the next two
weeks. But maybe one day...
