Thanks for all the feedback! The problem is that I'm not familiar with
subversion terminology and didn't know where to start looking in the docs.

Sorry - I should have been clearer. I want to be able to use svn to
reformat the code just as it's being committed.

Are we saying that both of these features aren't quite there yet?
