Recursive commits for externals

From: David Goodlad <dgoodlad_at_gmail.com>

Hi all

I am using svn here, and have a little 'annoyance'. I have a project
which I am developing, and a 'test application' that uses that project
as an external. As the test app is developed, changes to the main
project are made along with it. We end up with changes in both the
'real' test app dir and it's external directory that points to the
main project.

When I do a 'svn commit', it only recurses the test app's directories,
but not into the external. In this way, I end up with two revisions
per 'real' commit. Is there any way of forcing the svn utility to
commit the external as well?

TIA
Dave
