I wonder if this network error is happening because of the zlib bug in
the neon client library. Can you try one of two things:

  1. upgrade your client to use neon-0.24.7, or

  2. in your ~/.subversion/servers file, set 'http-compression = no' in
the [global] section.

See if either of these things makes a difference.
