In that case, yes, it looks like the problem is on the server side. On
the other hand, changing LANG on the client side does make a difference,
so the problem's probably a bit more complex than that.

Ah, OK. Which version of apr and subversion on the server?

OK, you're using Mandrake's own apr and subversion packages on the
Mandrake client.

I'm afraid I can't help much more, I don't know enough about Subversion
inernals. However it does look like something's wrong here. Since there
not much feedback on this list, I suggest you open a bug report.
