scary "file not found" failures

From: Jonathan Boutelle <jon_at_uzanto.com>

All,

I've been using svn (svnserve + tortoiseSVN) with my team for the last
month, and until now it has been smooth sailing. But I'm starting to see
wierd errors. The one that I have right now that, on update of "rumm, says:

File not found: transaction 'du', path '/repos/rumm/sql'

"sql" is a directory, and it IS on my system. When I delete "sql", it
complains about the "xml" directory having the same problem.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting this issue? Other members of my team
have been also been getting "transaction lock" errors. Until now these
issues have only manifested on a directory that the individual isn't
working on, and so deleting the directory and updating solves the problem.
But it doesn't give me that warm fuzzy confident feeling that I'm supposed
to get from using an SCM.
