post-commit wont run?

Hi,

I have subversion running through mod_dav_svn (apache 1.0.48) on an FC1
box. The set-up is slightly odd because I'm using an nptl-free bdb4.1
(I know this isn't a good thing to do, but for the moment I can't
change it).

I was using svn 1.0.1 up until the new rpms arrived yesterday. I have
a post-commit hook that checks whether any of the html in the
repository has changed, and if so, exports it to the the apache root
(apache is running our website as well as the repository). It was
working.

Yesterday I upgraded to 1.0.4, and now svn records the author in
commits (yay!), but post-commit doesn't seem to run.
post-commit hasn't moved since yesterday.
It has permissions that allow apache to run it.
If I run it manually after the commit, it does what I expect it to.

I can't find anything about it in apache's ssl_error_log. Is there a
subversion log somewhere I can read?

cheers, and thanks for your time,

Geoff
