svn:keywords expansion on GET

Hi,

when viewing a file through a web browser keywords ($Rev$ for example) are
left as-is, but when checking out using the Subversion client these are
replaced. My guess is that it's a client-side thing so the server doesn't
need to handle the mess it creates when comparing versions. My question is;
is there some way these can be replaced server-side if the request comes
from a non-Subversion user?

The idea here is that I have a bunch of files which most people will
download using a web browser, but I want them to be able to see which
version they have and from which URL they got it.

I've got Subversion running on Debian as an Apache module, which is fully
under my control so any suggestions will do...

Thanks in advance,

Mark
