Installation / Configuration -- where is apache?

From: Hagerty, Joe <joeh_at_tentmakers.net>

Short version:

I am trying to pass the "--with-apxs" option to configure... but since
Fedora has pieces of apache strewn all over, what exactly is configure
looking to find here so that it will build the mod_dav_svn.so module?

Long version:

I am trying to get svn installed and configured with apache on a Fedora
Core 2 box... Unfortunately with all the weird dependencies I have been
having a little difficulty getting everything right.... (i.e. apache
2.0.29 requires db 4.1 while another package I forget at this point
which required 4.2... anyhew) I have finally gotten svn installed and
can create repositories and what not, but I cannot get apache to load
the mod_dav_svn.so module because it doesn't exist.... So looking
through the install guide I see that this can be a problem when the
apache is not loaded in the default location.... Remembering that this
is a problem I have run into before with old red hat installs, I am
trying to pass the "--with-apxs" option to configure... but since Fedora
has pieces of apache strewn all over, what exactly is configure looking
to find here?

Thanks a lot by the way... am really enjoying the mailing list as it
seems there are people here not only discussing the code and the
technology, but how to really utilize it, which is very helpful for
newbie me.
