ok, I'll take a whack at it. I downloaded the 1.0.4 tarball thingie,
cd'ed to packages/rpms/fedora and ran make:

22% make
svn: '.' is not a working copy
Please specifiy RELEASE
gmake: *** [check_release] Error 1

23% make 1.0.4
svn: '.' is not a working copy
gmake: *** No rule to make target `1.0.4'. Stop.

30% svn co -r 1.0.4 http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk subversion
svn: Syntax error in revision argument '1.0.4'
