Aha! I wasn't even aware that there _was_ a local/non-roaming appdata
location. Now that's an interesting alternative. Of course, some users
will want their stuff stored in the roaming bit, others in the local
bits; the question is how to decide that? Probably some setting in the
system-wide (machine-specific) configuration.
