You can "share" files/directories between branches, but not links (I
believe). For example:
- find a CR that only exists in one branch (eg: main)
- go to a different branch (eg: 1.0)
- check in a file in the 1.0 branch
  - on the checkin form, check "Link and pin process item"
  - click the "Select" button
  - select the "List all permitted items"

You will not be able to see the CR that's in the main branch, only the
CRs in the 1.0 branch.
