If you give 'svn log' no path or URL arguments, it assumes you're
running on '.' -- which means you'll see every change ever made within
the current directory. Run it on the *file*, and you'll only see
changes made to that one file.

I'm not sure I understand your logic: "I have to perform two steps
instead of one to see diffs on copied/moved objects, therefore I'm not
going to copy or move anything at all"? :-)
