RE: 'Subversion' group in Yahoo Groups!

Well - you're right, I apologize for the flame. I still think Yahoo groups
is wrong headed, and that HTML in e-mail is very bad. I have given some
thought to the From: header. I will append my company name to the SVN
designation as well as the corporate disclaimer to make clear any
attribution issues. As to why I do not use my name, not that it is hard to
find, there are two reasons that you may or may not agree with. In any case,
it is my decision to make. The first is one of flexibility, having lost
e-mail addresses to spam swamping, using a 'role' account gives me the
ability to recover from and save the prior information for myself as well as
others here that read the list. The second is that I would rather have
google focus on 0x1b.com rather than my name in part because I am concerned
about privacy and the TIA effect, but also because as public comments, the
header is as important the contents. Also, it just organizes my world better
as I deal with a multitude of e-mail addresses - a coping strategy.

again my apologies and I can only ask that we return to the more important
issues of Subversion.

Ed

Hi Ed,

> And stop using HTML in your e-mail. It isn't polite.

Talking about polite: could you please make sure your messages don't show
SVN in the From-header but your real name? It's not polite either.

Thanks in advance,

Erik Huelsmann.
