Any tools to view the repository as a samba or nfs folder?

Hi,

since ViewCVS already allows a nice representation
of the repository contents as html (or xml) pages --
Are there any similar tools to expose the repository as
a virtual directory (e.g samba folder, nfs folder, ftp folder) ?

for example
    \\sambaserver\repository\head\project\tool.c
    \\sambaserver\repository\r234\project\tool.c
    \\sambaserver\repository\head\tags\tag1.2.3\project\tool.c
to access revisions and tags (at least readonly)

that way everything could be browsed and searched
with the normal file tools ( bash, windows/explorer,
KDE/konquerer, TotalCommander etc. ) without doing
a full local checkout of the data.
