RE: Solaris report: Subversion-1.0.0

Afer reading your couple of replies I'm thinking it might be a too old
version of automake/-conf indeed, so I give you the versions I have now:

Solaris 9 machine: automake v 1.6.1, autoconf v 2.53
Solaris 8 machine: automake v 1.4, autoconf v 2.13

Both are from the companion CD with free software, original version, not
updated yet (I know, I should update this like the Sun base system or the
Sun freeware or self compiled packages).

And the current versions are

automake v 1.82 and autoconf 2.59

For comparison on Debian GNU/Linux I have now

automake v 1.4 or 1.5 (two choices), comparable to Solaris 8

autoconf v 2.13 like on Solaris 8, facing no problems (but Debian may have
it patched), strange, marked as obsolete, v 2.53 like on Solaris 9 also
available; but don't have issues with it

Can you give me your current version numbers?
