Is this the same location as referred to by the "%CommonProgramFiles%"
environment variable, or the "Application Data" data folder in "All
Users" - "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data" (environment variables
hold on WinXP, if not Win2K too)? Or somewhere else?

The word 'common' in the description (to me, at least) adds a bit of
confusion between the two. It's normal "Common Program Files" or "All
Users\Application Data" - not a mixture of the two.
