If you installed all the RPMs then you would have installed
subversion-python RPM, right?

But it looks like you were trying to rebuild the python bindings.
Why? Did the ones in subversion-python RPM not work correctly or something?

I just ran your test on my RedHat 8.0 machine with
subversion-python-0.36.0 RPM and had no errors.

 Let me know if I didn't test something correctly.
